Upgrade to your bike

there are a lot of times you are not happy with your bike, add on and replacement part are the best way to address this. I have used Add on help on my one of them was a chain keeper.

rolling stop law

I totally support the Idaho stop law coming to Oregon. This video does a great job for defining the law.

Better Designs

I like to read http://bicycledesign.blogspot.com/ there are some great designs on that blog. Not just the traditional diamond frame bikes but folding and recumbent are given there fair share.
Most in the biking industry are snobs, so it is nice to see someone open to new ideals.

One of the news designs out there is the Skua. It takes three wheel recumbent to a new level. This is something that the average person can use to get to work, and it address on of the problem with other recumbent is two wheel traction.


Now look at the GM solution to transportation, the P.U.M.A. (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility) again we see at solution from GM that is the Hummer of Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility I hope that we are not going to bail this solution out.

the new way to get folks on bikes

I would use this if they had them at airports, however I would need a trailer or better carry on luggage.

Snow to Rain to Snow

This was my ride today. I am reviewing adding studs to my tires. This year has been full of surprises.

With this little of snow however I had no problems. I did have one or two from my staff that did not drive to work because of the snow, and you can see about the same amount of traffic on the Hawthorn Bridge.

this is my route in to work. This route is called the Springwater Trail the water is full of sewage so it is far from spring water.

Seat brackets

One of the issues you will find with a recumbent is the seat because all of your power comes from your seat , and if the seat brackets are not big you have the problems I have in my picture. I fixed this by adding some large washers to my brackets. However this is a temporary fix. I would like to know if there are better solutions
